From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot departed aero country airport (T31) en route to Majors Airport (kgvt). The pilot lowered the landing gear handle and the flaps. The pilot heard the landing gear warning and checked his landing gear. The lever was down but he saw no down/locked lights. The pilot cycled the landing gear lever several times and still had no light. The pilot asked the tower to confirm if his gear was down and the tower stated that the gear was not down. The pilot requested the pattern to attempt to get the gear down. He cycled the landing gear lever and checked the circuit breakers. The pilot declared an emergency and landed the aircraft with minor damage and no injury. When questioned the pilot stated that he did not use the emergency checklist.
