From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 10/18/2019 pilot states that he just finished spraying a field and was headed home when his engine began to surging as if it were starving for fuel. Pilot states that he had just put 75 gallons on board before departing. Pilot made a decision to land in a pasture and was heading toward a pivot and ground looped the aircraft and collapsed the right main and tail gears. The prop impacted the ground and after gathering his thoughts exited the aircraft. The pilot noticed smoke coming from the engine nacelle and called the land owner that he had an off field landing and the aircraft was on fire.
