From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Enroute from cpu to oak pilot experienced severe engine related vibration. There was no indication at time as to cause, pilot reported not striking anything. Landed without incident at C83. Upon shutdown it was discovered 5 inches of propeller blade tip had separated from propeller. Review of pictures indicate a previous repair was not blended deep enough. A small corrosion pocket can be seen in leading edge of the cord of the blade. Metal appears to have separated abruptly with what appears to be a brittle fracture.
