What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot was out with a family friend flying around on a good weather day. They did some landings at 2A5 airport (estimated four landings there) then returned to land at 3A4. He set up for runway 17, but came in a little high, which made him a little fast on approach when he tried to correct. Focusing on the length of the runway, he forgot to bring the landing gear down. Aircraft settled to the runway without exiting the runway, and was carted off to his hangar.
