From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While practicing touch and go?s, PIC touched down on runway 19. Following touchdown, a loud ?thud? Was heard as aircraft started to sink to the right. Aircraft then veered off runway near taxi way A-5.

No onsite investigation was performed due to covid-19 concerns. Based on photos provided by airport personnel, it appears that the right hand main landing gear failed. The subject parts were removed for further examination by the NTSB. Airworthiness directive 2004-24-02 applies to this aircraft. Aircraft records indicate the recurring portion of AD 2004-24-02 was completed and was not due at the time of the accident.
