From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At about 10:30 am on Sunday June 28 following a 45 minute flight the aircraft landed gear up on a grass strip. The strip is located approximately 5 miles sw of gyi in north Texas. The strip is approximately 150' feet wide and 2400' in length. The wind at the time of the incident was out of 180 degrees at 18 gusting to 22. The strip is oriented 18/36. Conditions were mod turbulence clear below 2900' visibility 8-10 with haze. The PIC approached the field on a right base to 18, lowered the flaps and thought he lowered the gear. He adjusted the trim checked, fuel tanks slightly increased power to stop sink rate and correct for the headwind. The PIC indicated there was no gear horn sounding at this time. As he concentrated on the treeline at the approach end of the runway and kept power up for the sink rate he lowered the flaps again and upon passing the tree line cut the power and proceed to flare for touchdown. He heard the gear horn at that time, which he thought was the stall warning. The aircraft slid for about 130' on the grass and came to rest on a heading of 270 degrees. No injures to the PIC or passenger no smoke or fire. Prop damage, belly damage, exhaust damage, flap damage.
