From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 11, 2020 at around 0740 CST N217PH, a zenith CH-750 experimental amateur built aircraft, experienced a nose gear collapse on runway 02 at Veterans memorial airport of southern Illinois (mwa). The pilot stated that upon landing the aircraft bounced back into the air. He stated that he over corrected for the bounce which led to the aircraft entering a "porpoise" down the runway. Before the pilot was able to recover from the "porpoise" the nose gear collapsed and the propeller struck the runway.
