From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Upon landing near agriculture tender trailer, pilot lowered the skids to the ground, lowered collective and reduced power. As the rotor blades started to droop, they came in contact with the tender trailer causing the aircraft to shake aggressively and tail rotor to contact the ground. Pilot attempted to secure the aircraft by turning of the magnetos switches to the off position and moving the mixture control to idle cut off. With negative results, the pilot exited the aircraft and then reentered to shut the fuel firewall shutoff. Within 35 seconds, the engine stopped.
