What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
During third and final takeoff of the day from gravel bar on beaver creek, after becoming airborne, aircraft encountered gusty wind from left which picked up left wing and sent right wing down into a root ball. Pilot tried to counteract, but did not have enough control available to overcome the wind. Wingtip was damaged. During collision, wing was flexed which caused right flap to contact fuselage, damaging both. Flap was in takeoff position and leading edge slats had retracted at the time of the collision.
