From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On September 22, 2020 at approximately 1517 local time at Easton Airport (kesn) Easton, MD, the pilot of N776MC was acting as PIC and flight instructor of a PA-23 aircraft when he failed to insure that the landing gear was lowered prior to landing on runway 22 at esn. The instructor stated that he became distracted when he was given a straight-in approach and landing clearance for runway 22. Originally, he and his student had planned to circle from the approach to runway 22 to land on 33. The instructor said that when the tower issued instructions to land on 22, he simply forgot to verify that the landing gear was down. The airplane landed on runway 22 with the gear up, only minor damage had occurred and there were no injuries.
