From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

A private pilot and CFI were performing touch and go training in N72PE, CE-172R, at cvo, when the aircraft lost engine power. The pilot was able to put the air plane down in an open field a quarter mile north of the airport. No injuries or damage occurred. A turbo air intake hose was found collapsed which starved the turbo charger of air when the engine was throttled up. The hose was replaced and the airplane flown back to home base with no further issues.
