From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was on instrument flight plan enroute from bellingham, WA (bli) to Boeing field, WA (bfi). While enroute, PIC reported loss of engine power and unable to maintain assigned altitude. ATC gave vectors to aircraft to paine field, WA (pae) and Whidbey Airpark (W10). PIC notified ATC that the aircraft will be unable to make pae. PIC then informed they will attempt to land at W10. During landing sequence at W10, aircraft was observed by an eye witness to enter left turn to the west and subsequently stall and spin into the tree line north-west of the runway. There was no post-crash fire in aircraft and aircraft was destroyed upon impact.
