From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated he touched down at the 1000 foot mark on runway 16 at lfk. The pilot applied brakes to slow the aircraft three times. Each time the pilot applied brakes the anti-skid released the brakes. The pilot applied the emergency brakes with no effect in stopping the aircraft. The aircraft over shot the runway, crashed through a fence and came to rest in the field across from the airport property. The pilot bumped his nose on the instrument panel. The two other passengers were uninjured.

The runway surface had standing water from the moderate to heavy rain at lfk. At the time of the accident, there was continuous rain and mist. Airnav airport information states the runway length for 16 is 4311 x 100 feet and an 8:1 slope toward the end of the runway.
