From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot and passenger departed man (nampa, ID) for a flight to myl (mccall, ID). Pilot elected to perform a touch and go at boi (Boise, ID) so the student passenger could hear ATC. ATC told the pilot to do a touch and stop due to traffic. Pilot touched down and upon roll out the lf main tire blew out. The flat tire caused the aircraft to depart the edge of the runway, striking a light and taxiway sign. The aircraft sustained minor damage consisting of a 1X3 inch hole in the left wing lower skin just in front of the main spar and damage to the left main gear door. Investigation of the condition of the tire found that the lf main tire had a flat spot completely through the tire to the tube.
