From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During this training flight, the student pilot had completed a takeoff and a touch & go landing to runway 28R. During the 2nd takeoff from 28R and on climbout, both the student pilot and CFI report that the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power at approximately 200 feet above the ground (engine sound went from full power to an idle sound with the aircraft slowing down). The airplane was immediately placed in a attitude to land back to the runway. The aircraft was landed at the end of the runway, proceeded onto the surrounding area, and came to a stop shortly after breaching the airport boundary fence.

As the FAA filed it

THE AIRPLANE WAS IMMEDIATELY PLACED IN A ATTITUDE TO LAND BACK TO THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LANDED AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY, PROCEEDED ONTO THE SURROUNDING AREA, AND CAME TO A STOP SHORTLY AFTER BREACHING THE AIRPORT BOUNDARY FENCE.
