From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After takeoff from runway 03, at 100-200FT above the ground, the aircraft experienced a loss of power and the pilot retracted the landing gear to reduce drag. The aircraft experienced more loss of power and maneuverability, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing on the same runway ahead of him. The pilot re-extended the landing gear verifying visually left side down before touch down to the left of the runway. The pilot applied brakes, the aircraft slid to the other side of the runway spun around. When the aircraft came to a stop the right landing gear had collapsed. There was substantial damage to the prop, right wing and landing gear. There were four persons on board who exited the aircraft with no injuries.
