From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The crew was cleared for a visual approach to runway 7R. The aircraft was descending into Anchorage international airport on right base. The SIC noticed sparks and then small flames on the lower right side of the co-pilots windscreen. The PIC immediately turned off the windscreen heat and took control of the aircraft. The co-pilot turned and grabbed the fire extinguisher and extinguished the fire. The fire went out immediately. The crew landed safely on 7R and taxied to the ramp.
