From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that he departed kbow enroute to kgmu, upon climbing thru 5000 ft AGL. The pilot heard clicking noises, and he saw the amp meter was pegging to the left to full discharge. The pilot stated that he checked the circuit breakers to see if any of them were popped, they were not. Upon reaching 14000 ft AGL. The pilot said he could not attribute the situation to anything so he decided to return to kbow. The pilot stated that he had a cross wind from the left. He stated that he flared and kept the left wing down, and touched down with the left ldg first then the nose. Then he felt the tail seemed to fall from right under him. When the aircraft came to rest on the runway, the pilot stated that he got out of the aircraft uninjured. He noticed both main ldg had collapsed and the nose gear was locked in the gear down position.
