From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 2/24/21 at about 0946 local time aircraft N642LT landed on runway 20 at Hampton Airfield (7B3) and during landing rollout, departed the runway into the snowbank and came to rest inverted. Closest reported weather at portsmouth international airport (kpsm) indicated VMC, no precipitation, and winds 270 at 8 knots. Runway 20 is paved and was dry and clear of all ice and snow. The PIC reported two sudden wind gusts from the west during landing rollout which caused him to lose control of the airplane despite full application of left rudder. The PIC stated that no malfunctions or mechanical deficiencies precluded the accident, nor were any noted in post-accident disassembly.
