What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot stated that he was giving a new student an introductory flight (discovery flight). When he came in for a landing, he landed around the 1000-foot markers at kcrq. He was demonstrating a soft field landing, nose wheel still in the air, when ATC asked him to exit at taxiway A4. He kicked left rudder and began exiting the runway at A4. He had too much speed and did not want the aircraft to settle on the nose wheel with left rudder in so he straightened out the rudder and brought the aircraft nose down. At this point, he was not properly aligned with the taxiways centerline, briefly exited the taxiway and struck the taxiway light. There was no damage to the aircraft.
