From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot took off from myl for a local scenic flight at 1500 local time. Upon returning he set up on a 25 mile final for landing runway 34 myl. Winds were 270 degrees at 12 knots. On short final the winds seemed stronger than reported. The pilot had the left wing low with right rudder to stay on runway center. Upon touchdown the aircraft started to swing to the left. The pilot applied right rudder and then right brake. The left turn continued and the aircraft ground-looped, the right gear collapsed and the aircraft came to a stop resting on its nose and right wing tip.
