From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot departed boi at 0930 local time. Upon arriving at U00, Leadore, ID, he circled the airport to determine wind direction/speed because he could not see a windsock. He set up on a left downwind to rwy 29. The pilot touched down about 1/3 of the way down the 2000 ft runway. The pilot applied the brakes and the aircraft tires began to skid with about 700 ft of runway left. The aircraft skidded off the runway to the right, continuing to skid through the grass and sagebrush. The left main gear hit a pile of gravel causing the left main gear to collapse. The aircraft skidded through a wire fence and came to a stop. The pilot then shut the engine off and secured the aircraft.
