From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot reported having intermittent power losses after 10 minutes of flying. They were cruising at 4000 feet when the engine started surging then quit. The pilot did the required troubleshooting but was unsuccessful in getting the engine restarted. The pilot found a dirt road next to a field and landed the aircraft without any damage or injuries. The aircraft mechanic drove to the scene and found the copper fuel line from the fuel manifold to the firewall broken at the "b" nut. The mechanic (A&P) replaced the copper fuel line with a steel line. Run up and checks were good. Aircraft was test flown and returned to service on April 22, 2021.
