From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Started incident investigation iaw 8900.1 vol 7 ch 1 sec 2 and 8020.11D. Pilot failed to ensure landing gear was in down and locked position prior to landing at (klaw) airport in Lawton, OK., resulting in a gear up landing. Aircraft sustained minor damage to under carriage and antennas. Propeller sustained substantial damage. The aircraft landed on the runway and skidded down the center of the runway. The aircraft then came to rest on the center of the runway. There were no injuries reported. Discussed with pilot regarding the utilization of checklist to ensure proper procedures are followed in order to mitigate safety of flight issues in the future. After discussion with the pilot, I do not feel the need for a formal counseling with this airman at this time. See ptrs record id SW15202101281 for details.
