From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After flying from ksgs to keau, during a landing attempt the aircraft ballooned and came down hard on the landing gear. The hard landing caused the nose gear strut to snap off and the propeller to strike the runway causing severe damage to the propeller. The aircraft skidded off the runway and came to rest in the grass at the edge of the runway. Damage was also noted to the right wing tip fuel tank due to contact with the runway and the leading edge of the right wing due to hitting a runway marker light. There were no injuries as a result of this incident and VFR conditions prevailed throughout the flight. The student pilot in command was on his first solo cross country flight.
