From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Evidence of the wreckage from N104GX indicates that the aircraft attempted to land on runway 22 right at the Mather Airport. Damage and the pilot's statement indicates that the aircraft touch down on the runway then swerved left due to a crosswind causing the right wing tip to strike the pavement first. The aircraft then went into the grass on the left side of the 22 right runway causing the aircraft to lean left and strike the left wingtip. The aircraft's nosewheel then collapsed causing the propeller to strike the ground. Signatures from the

Propeller indicate that the engine was operating at the time of the

Accident. The pilot exited the aircraft with no injuries.
