From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While on final approach to runway 35 at jka, a student was flying and had difficulty in getting the airplane lined up with the centerline and allowed the airspeed to decay while still 10 feet or more above the runway. The instructor took the controls and began to execute a go around. The airplane entered a stall and landed hard, departing the runway and coming to rest in the grass to the left of the runway. The nose landing gear collapsed and the propeller struck the ground. There were no injuries to persons on board.
