From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The flight crew dropped off the privacy data omitted at the Corsicana airport FBO. Passengers disembarked, the pilot wanted to relocate the aircraft on the airport and had begun to taxi, brakes failed at the first attempt to turn.

This caused the nose of the aircraft to make a hard left, heading towards the hangars. At this point the pilot elected steer the aircraft by modulating engines (as they sometimes do while taxiing) here he thought they might be able to clear the hangars. The last 30? (Approximately) the left wing tip impacted the hangar causing the prop to strike. The hangar door and the nose impacted the edge of the hangar and back end of the pickup truck.

Assessing the damaged area we noted the left wing outer extension with tip, left aileron, left prop and engine fairings, nose section including nose gear section, two inch plus cut in the nose tire which still held pressure. No structural panels nor wing spar or inner wing rib damage.

Noted. Also noted excessive amount of hydraulic fluid under the right wing root area where no visible damage was noted.

Aircraft is still at airport location privacy data omitted working with insurance at this time. Once is in maintenance for repairs dom will give us part number of the item that failed and we will amend this report at that time and have the dom complete an SDR report.

As the FAA filed it

THE FLIGHT CREW DROPPED OFF THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AT THE CORSICANA AIRPORT FBO.

AIRCRAFT IS STILL AT AIRPORT LOCATION ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WORKING WITH INSURANCE AT THIS TIME. ONCE IS IN MAINTENANCE FOR REPAIRS DOM WILL GIVE US PART NUMBER OF THE ITEM THAT FAILED AND WE WILL AMEND THIS REPORT AT THAT TIME AND HAVE THE DOM COMPLETE AN SDR REPORT.
