From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This was the second flight in the aircraft for the day but the first flight in the aircraft on that day for this pilot. The pilot taxied from his hangar to runway 31 for take off. The pilot then proceeded to take off from that runway. According to various witness statements the aircraft seemed to have a normal takeoff roll and initial lift off. After lift off the aircraft appeared to be at a high nose up angle of attack. The aircraft then appeared to roll to the right before the nose of the aircraft pitched down and impacted the ground.
