From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At 7AM the pilot flew privacy data omitted to shiloh airport (sif), then to Warf's airport (6A5) to practice short field takeoffs on runway 17. During takeoff at the end of the runway the engine sputtered and quit. The pilot dropped the nose and made a shallow left turn and did not have enough altitude & airspeed to make it back to the runway. He stalled the plane over a pine thicket and let the tail drop in first, landing approximately 80 feet off the runway at approximately 8:15AM.
