From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

From PIC statement. From jzp to lzu. Received clearance to land #3 on RW7. Extend downwind to wait for the 2 planes ahead and decided to use the extra distance on final to practice a no flap landing. Speed was around 78 on short final and angle of attack was relatively narrow. Right before touchdown, looked out the side window to verify distance above ground. About then, the nose hit the runway before the mains. The plane bounced, then bounced a second time. Elected to go around. Tower directed to follow left traffic pattern. Second landing when the nose contacted the runway the plane stopped immediately approximately 1000 feet from the front end of rw 7, the active.
