From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot reported he had done a rectangular pattern to decide where the wind was coming from. In the past he has landed many times on the east/west runways. Due to a 10-knot southerly wind, he chose the south runway which he hasn?t landed on before. The pilot stated the south runway is significantly shorter than the e/w runways in which he was used to when landing at this particular airstrip. He stated the grass strip was wet and that he slid off the end of the runway. The aircraft was significantly damaged and no injuries reported.
