From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The following is a statement the maintenance mechanic had with the pilot after the incident: "the pilot stated that he was in a turning maneuver and was also distracted by an ATC callout for traffic while approaching the airport for landing. He told me he wasn?t sure if he had visually confirmed the landing gear was down by referencing the landing gear down position indicator light. He also mentioned that he did not recall if he had observed aerodynamic changes or sounds associated with the mechanical extension of the landing gear due to the distractions described. He also added that he did not hear a landing gear unsafe warning horn".
