From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated he departed mazza airport, VA73, located in matoaca, VA at approximately 1915. Pilot was enroute to a friend's field (not an established grass strip for aircraft). The field was approximately 10 minutes away from VA73. It was a clear VFR day. The aircraft successfully landed on the field. However, once the aircraft slowed during taxi, the left tire caught a soft spot in the damp grass and flipped the aircraft over causing damage to the tail, wings, fuselage, and propeller.
