From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was on a day VFR part 91 flight. A witness stated the pilot?s take off role to the south used approximately ¾ of the 2580 foot runway when the aircraft lifted off. The aircraft climbed and drifted to the west, then the left wing seemed to stall, the aircraft spun to the left and impacted the church parking lot. A church security camera showed the aircraft impact the ground inverted and in a left spin. After the aircraft impacted the parking lot, it slide in its nose about 20 feet to the east of the original impact point. The aircraft came to rest on its main landing gear. The pilot was fatally injured.
