From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

According to privacy data omitted, via telephone conversation, is a retired USAF pilot. privacy data omitted. He calls out checklists and did verify gear down via indicator. He also says witnesses confirmed nose gear down, post incident. Nose gear collapsed at/around 50 feet into landing roll, onto runway. Skidding worked into, then through, nose cowling. Skidding continued into carburetor causing small fire, which was quickly extinguished via halon fire extinguisher. Five bodies, each side of nose, lifted aircraft, extended nose gear (which overextended and ?locked? Into a position). Aircraft then moved to ramp. No injuries.
