From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. The aircraft privacy data omitted

The pilot explained that he was conducting a VFR flight to kinf to have maintenance performed on the aircraft. When he arrived at kinf he performed three touch and go landings and planned for his fourth landing to be a full stop. During the landing flare, he experienced a gust of wind that caused the airplane to baloon up.

The pilot stated that he reduced pitch and applied power however the aircraft landed hard on all three landing gear. After landing, he experienced difficulty taxing from the runway. He stopped the aircraft, shutdown the engine, and noticed the nose tire was flat. He then proceeded to contact aircraft maintenance.

Upon inspection, the aircraft suffered wrinking/warping near nose of the aircraft and damage to the firewall.
