What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On October 16, 2021 at approximately 1639 local time, a Piper saratoga ii, registration N83615 landed with gear up at Max Westheimer Airport (koun) Norman, OK. The pilot stated he noticed a low voltage warning indication on the instrument panel and notified ATC he had an electrical problem and needed to land as soon as possible. Soon thereafter, the pilots navigation displays began to flicker and eventually blanked out. Additionally the pilot stated he lost radio contact with ATC due to the apparent loss of aircraft electrical power and was cleared to land by ATC light signals. On the landing approach, the pilot lowered the gear handle and activated the manual gear handle but there was no way to verify the landing gear was down and locked with the loss of aircraft electrical power. Upon landing, it was evident the landing gear had not successfully deployed and the aircraft came to rest on the runway after sustaining a prop strike and minor damage to the underside of the aircraft. The suspected cause for the apparent loss of aircraft electrical power has yet to be determined as the aircraft repair and troubleshooting of the aircraft electrical system has not commenced as of this date. Once that process has been completed this report will be amended and updated accordingly.
