From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that he was doing touch and goes off of runway 9 and on his 1st touch and go the aircraft lost power at an altitude of about 150'. He then attempted to land in a corn field.

Investigation of scene: aircraft landed in a tilled corn field about 2000' from the end of the runway. Both main landing gear broken and bent back under the aircraft. No apparent prop damage the lower engine cowl did sustain minor damage. No other damage noted from photos taken by the airport manager.
