From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On January 12, 2022, on or about 1530 CST, a Maule MXT-7-180 encountered a runway excursion off of runway 22 at Dexter b Florence memorial airport (kadf). The student pilot was receiving instruction on his first flight back after a year break. On one of the landings, the CFI demanded a go-around, the right main touched the ground and the student pilot "applied full back pressure". The aircraft stuck the tail and veered off into the grass, striking both left and right wing tips, damaging a runway light and coming to rest on the runway. Day, VMC conditions existed.
