From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

-Upon arrival at airport (approx. 6:30AM local), temperature was approx. 22 deg,

And sky clear, wind calm

-A layer of frost was visible on wings, prop and tail. Pilot spent the next 20 minutes removing frost from surfaces using rags/towels.

-Due to low temps, pilot let the motor warm for approximately 20 min before conducting std. Runup and pre-flight check procedure. No abnormalities observed.

-Full power applied for takeoff and engine was making normal power.

Rotated as normal and aircraft lifted off as normal.

-It became clear the aircraft was not able to maintain a normal climb rate.

-Pilot initiated shallow (approx 10-15 deg) turn to left attempt to land on bisecting taxiway - this exacerbated the problem.

-Pilot returned to runway heading to land straight ahead and stalled between 15-20FT above ground and impacted ground.

As the FAA filed it
