From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On March 5, 2022, about 1105 eastern standard time, an RV-6, N29XL, was substantially damaged upon landing rollout when the right main wheel contacted the snowbank on the edge of the runway. Upon contact with the snowbank the aircraft was pulled from the runway where it flipped onto its canopy and striking the propeller on the ground during the flip. Pilot and passenger were uninjured. Pilot stated weather briefing reported 15 knot crosswind but gusts were in excess of this upon touchdown and rollout forcing the aircraft off the side of the runway and into the snowbank.
