From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After takeoff and retracting the landing gear the pilot reduced power and heard a loud bang. The pilot noted he has an engine analyzer and noted cylinder #5 had 0 readings. The pilot informed the tower of the need for return and noted that there was still power being generated; however, he requested to land runway 5 to return expeditiously. The pilot stated he maintained a higher than normal pattern and final approach to guard against further engine trouble. On landing heavy braking was required resulting in the flat tire.
