From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On April 4, 2022 at approximately 1045 HST (local time), pilot in command operated aircraft as a 14 CFR part 135 on-demand-charter. There were (2) additional crewmembers and (1) passenger on the aircraft which consisted of a flight nurse and a flight paramedic, patient. The flight originated from lihue, kauai (phli). Upon landing at the Daniel K Inouye International Airport, (phnl), aircraft was instructed to taxi to the FBO. PIC state the FBO ramp where they normally park, locate north of the FBO main hanger entrance was full of aircraft. PIC then stated, he elected to use the alternate parking area located to the east of the FBO main hanger entrance (in between a row of hangers), which is designated as a ramp overrun, when the normal ramp is full. PIC then goes on and states, there was another aircraft parked in this alternate area however, PIC made a determination that there was still enough room to taxi in and complete a (180 degree) turn to park directly behind it. PIC began a slight left hand turn to parallel the hangars to his left, as to avoid the aircraft to his right, and to complete a 180 degree right turn to park N911ZE directly behind the parked aircraft. PIC misjudged the distance of the hangar to his left, at which time the left wingtip light structure (strobe/navigation light assembly, outboard of the last rib) made contact with the doorframe of another hanger. As aircraft wingtip made contact with the hanger, PIC immediately stopped the aircraft, applied the brakes, and shut off the engines. At this time the medical crew, pilot and passenger exited the aircraft. There were no injuries. The patient was offloaded without incident. Company managers were immediately notified.

After everyone exited the aircraft, the maintenance crew, took multiple pictures and towed the aircraft to the FBO hanger.

As the FAA filed it

AFTER EVERYONE EXITED THE AIRCRAFT, THE MAINTENANCE CREW,TOOK MULTIPLE PICTURES AND TOWED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE FBO HANGER.
