From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated:

"I estimate my touchdown speed between 65-70 knots. During the landing rollout I felt a "pop" on the right side of the aircraft almost as if I hit a pothole. The aircraft leaned slightly to the right. I thought I had blown a tire and that I would be rolling on the rim very soon. I did not use brakes until I was closer to the turnoff. During the turn off the runway, the right main gear leg collapsed. The right wingtip dragged the ground and the airplane turned quickly to the right, stopping while still on the asphalt and facing generally north.

As the FAA filed it
