From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 12 2022 at approximately 0150 a Mooney M20J sustained a gear up landing. The PIC departed mdw on a IFR flight plan to lro. Upon arrival the PIC initiated the pre-landing checklist. While attempting to lower the gear the acutator breaker tipped. The PIC attempted to reset the breaker and attempted to extend the landing gear again with same result (failed). PIC executed the landing gear emergency procedures per the AFM. The manual gear extenstion procedure also failed. With both normal and emergency procedures failed the PIC landed the aircraft in a gear up configuration. The aircraft and propeller sustained minor damage as a result of the landing. No injuries reported. Initial analysis and inspection of aircraft and records determined failure of landing gear acutator clutch assembly.
