From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 30, 2022 at approximately 16:40 EST a Cessna R182 aircraft, privacy data omitted, privacy data omittedoperated by hazard pilot in charge (PIC), suffered a propeller strike on the runway surface at (biv) Tulip City Airport in Holland mi runway 26. Upon touching down at biv, the hazard aircraft encountered a strong gusting left to right crosswind condition forcing the aircraft to veer right. The PIC tried to correct by applying left rudder and as such the airplane tipped to the right and the prop struck the runway. The plane immediately settled back to all three wheels on the ground and continued its rollout finally settling in the grass on the right of runway. The PIC then shut down his engine and made a call to UNICOM requesting help. Biv ground crews arrived and towed the aircraft safely to the ramp. No injuries reported and no damage to the runway or other aircraft.

On July 1, 2022 at approximately 11:20 EST the FAA iic arrived on scene at met the hazard PIC at the aircraft. The iic interviewed the hazard PIC and took photographs of the hazard aircraft. The iic determined the damage to be minor with only the propeller sustaining any damage. Photographs reveal the tips of each propeller blade to be curled at the tips of each blade. There was some very minor damage noticed on the left main landing gear, but unable to determine if the damage was caused by this incident. This incident is considered closed with no follow up required.
