From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narritive:

The pilot landed on a non certified grass runway with a light quartering tailwind. Mature corn crop surrounded close proximity of both sides of the runway environment with approximately 15 feet of wing tip clearance on each side. Pilot allowed the aircraft to bounce significantly on initial touchdown to the runway and attempted a go-around. During the go-around process the aircraft was allowed to drift from runway centerline. The right wingtip entered the corn crop and yawed the aircraft to the right and decelerating the aircraft into an uncontrolled right turn from which the pilot was unable to recover. The left landing gear leg collapsed underneath the fuselage as the aircraft slid forward in the direction of landing. The aircraft came to rest after impacting a parked pickup truck near a grain bin with the empanage bent about 90 degrees from aircraft centerline as a result of the aircraft rotating in a clockwise direction about the verticle axis.
