From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N868CW, a Cessna 560, was facing sothwest while preparing to depart New Braunfels national airport (kbaz) from the privacy data omitted, on the notheast side of the airfield. After preflighting the aircraft, the crew applied the parking brake to the aircraft and proceeded to start up. Once the engines were started, during the process of powering up avionics, the aircraft began to roll forward. The crew attempted to apply the brakes and got not braking response. The crew proceeeded to attempt to manuver the aircraft into the field behind it in order to avoid striking the hangar directly in front, by shutting down the right engine and deploying the left threust reverser. This caused the aircraft to enter into a left hand turn. The aircraft rotated 180 degrees and struck a forklift that was parked on the ramp in front of theprivacy data omittedhangar with the left outboard wing. The crew then shut down the the left engine and electrical power and exited the aircraft.

Maintenace enter the cockpit afterwards and noted that the power brakes and skid control circuit breakers were disengaged. The emergency brake handle was never pulled.

The aicraft sustained damage to the the ouboard wing tip leading edge, and upper and lower skins.

Upon inspection of the aircraft, no defects were noted to the aircraft braking system nor the emergency braking system. This was the aircraft's first flight after phase 30 inspection.

As the FAA filed it

N868CW, A CESSNA 560, WAS FACING SOTHWEST WHILE PREPARING TO DEPART NEW BRAUNFELS NATIONAL AIRPORT (KBAZ) FROM THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, ON THE NOTHEAST SIDE OF THE AIRFIELD. THE AIRCRAFT ROTATED 180 DEGREES AND STRUCK A FORKLIFT THAT WAS PARKED ON THE RAMP IN FRONT OF THE^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^HANGAR WITH THE LEFT OUTBOARD WING.
