From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed dare county regional airport (kmqi) for charlotte-monro executive airport (keqy). After about 20 minutes into flight, the engine started running a little rough. The engine issue started getting worse as the flight went on. The pilot declared an emergency and was planning to land in a plowed field near state highway 64. At the last minute, the pilot decided to land on state highway 64 instead and did not have time to lower the landing gear. There was no post landing fire and minimal damage to the aircraft.
